6 Phoenix Lakes for Both Thrills and Relaxation

When many out-of-town visitors think about Arizona, they picture dry dunes and sandy terrain. We certainly have this, but did you know that we also have plenty of lakes that make fantastic getaways? This is why at Sand Highway RV Rentals we offer more than just RV and travel trailer rentals. We also offer boat rentals for our customers who are seeking a little water fun for both thrills and relaxation. Read below for some of Phoenix’s best lakes!

Theodore Roosevelt Lake

As the largest of the lakes outside the greater Phoenix area, Roosevelt Lake offers a variety of boating and sports activities. It also features a large beach for guests who just want to take it easy and soak up some sun.

Saguaro Lake

Looking for the ideal day on a boat? Saguaro Lake, found within the beautiful Tonto National Forest and surrounded by canyon walls, features paddle boating, guided tours, water skiing, wakeboarding, fishing, and sailboating.

Bartlett Lake

The second-largest lake of the bunch, Bartlett Lake offers aqua lodge rentals and provides a gorgeous location for a getaway. It features shoreline camping, the opportunity to experience wildlife (including bald eagles, mule deer, javelina, and more), and exotic plant life. Boating, water skiing, hiking, and fishing are great here as well.

Lake Pleasant

This 10,000-acre lake is a favorite among watersport enthusiasts—by windsurfers, fishermen, sailors, and water skiers alike! You can also find camping areas and hiking/mountain bike trails at Lake Pleasant Regional Park.

Apache Lake

Apache Lake is well-known for its boating, trout fishing, and the scenic canyon walls that surround it. It also features a motel and restaurant.

Canyon Lake

Canyon Lake not only features the watersports, boating, and hiking that the other lakes provide—it also has a popular day-use campground with a large grassy area, shady ramadas, and a swimming-only section of the lake.

As you can see, Phoenix has plenty of lake activity to choose from! If you’re planning to visit any of these magnificent lakes, consider us at Sand Highway RV Rentals for your boat rental or pontoon boat rental! Each of these lakes offers its own boat rentals, but this can get expensive. At Sand Highway, we help you save money with our affordable rates and delivery services.
